       Satya Brata Saha, Director General of Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board (In the rank of Secretary to the Government) is a highly accomplished and professional civil servant with 32 years experience in both central and field administration. Having a diverse administrative broad-based knowledge and experience, he joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) on 15 February 1988. Prior to assuming this post on 8 November 2018, he discharged his duty as Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. Mr Saha served as Private Secretary to the Minister, Ministry of Land. Before that he worked in Economical Division as Senior Assistant Secretary for long 8 years.

He started his career at Mymenshing Collectorate as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate in 1988. Professionally, he worked in the field Administration as Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO that is chief executive of sub-district), Senior Assistant Commissioner and 1st class Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (LAND) as well as Assistant Commissioner (Finance).

During this period, he achieved practical experience and efficiency in Project implementation and development administration through collaboration and co-ordination among public representatives, government and non-government organizations.

In his academic attainments, he realized his Master of Business Administration degree in HRM and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Planning as well.

After joining the civil service, Mr. Satya Brata Saha took part in different training programmes that encompasses Foundation Course, Law & Administration, Survey & Settlement Training, Measures for Prevention of Corruption, Managing at the Top-2, Policy Planning & Management (PPM) in home.

In abroad, he attended courses on Sustaining Com. Edge at the crossroad of Emerging Tech. Manag. Perspective, MAT Phase-I at AIT and Project Monitoring and Evaluation at Mekong Institute, Khon Kaen, Thailand. Moreover Mr. Saha went for another course titled MAT Phase-II at University of Wolverhampton, Telford, U.K. Mr. Satya also got an exclusive training on Ante Tobacco Leadership Program at Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA.

As part of the official duty, he attended in different negotiation meetings, International Conferences, workshops, summits, seminars, study tours and visits in home and abroad.

In personal life, he is married and blessed with a daughter. His wife is a homemaker.
